Digital & Automation | Banks | Amsterdam

The Background

  • The Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) is a system of transactions created by the European Union (EU)

  • NextWave Infinium was engaged by a major EU commercial bank to deliver SEPA solution for 18 European countries

The Challenge

  • The delivery of the platform was running behind schedule

  • There was a requirement to deliver at pace with a small focused team so as to ensure compliance with the SEPA  payment schemes (SCT – Sepa Credit Transfers and SDD – Sepa Direct Debits)

The Approach

  • The creation of test cases and test plans

  • The System Integration (SIT) and User Acceptance (UAT) of the platform

  • Go-live and run book support

  • Post live support and issue management

The Impact

  • Two months to analyse the business problems, prepare the data strategy document and socialise the recommendations with key stakeholders

  • A set of key decisions which senior management needed to take to accelerate the data strategy

  • Positive feedback from stakeholders on the recommendations including new insights which key stakeholders were not previously aware of
